Azure Striker Gunvolt
Review(3DS)
Game: Azure Striker Gunvolt
Console: Nintendo 3DS
Length: 3-4 Hours
Azure Striker Gunvolt definitly fits well with INTI CREATES other Action Platformers. The game has some neat features and lot's of collectibles. The game consist of two endings. If you're a fan of Mega Man Zero or Mega Man ZX it might be hard to adapt to the play style of Gunvolt. Gunvolt also has ton's of challenge missions that will add hours of replay value. Azure Striker Gunvolt's story lasts about 3-4 hours depending on which ending you get. The story can be a bit confusing at times but it's not too much of a problem.
The game has a nice difficulty to it; when you lose, you sometimes have a chance of being revived by Lumen. When being revived you will gain some extra abilities until the mission is complete.
The game has tons of weapons and
skills that you can unlock that all have different abilities. Azure Striker Gunvolt has a small learning curve. Your gun is used to tag enemies, after the enemy has been tagged you can use Gunvolt's flash field to deal damage to the enemy. Sometimes the design of some levels doesn't make sense and objects are put into places where they don't belong. For example, in the Media Tower stage, one of the jumpads is below another platform, this would require you to jump back down to reach it. This game does not have autosave.
Sometimes you forget that this
game does not autosave
and you end up losing some
progress. If your a fan of speed
running games or just love Action
Platformers, you'll love this game.
